Door headboard and est. sign all in one day! What more could I ask for....

I was on Pinterest and found this big rave for "door" headboards... I didnt think much about it because typically I am not a trendy person... However, I was at my moms house and seen her old front door on the side of her house. It was dirty, old, dry, and pretty much UGLY when I got to it. But I seen beyond the weather stains, bird shnew, and dirt. She told me to throw it out it wasnt worth the time and effort I wanted to put into it. Now that it is all finish and painted and mounted to my bed... ITS BEAUTIFUL! I love it and it turned out GREAT!

It started with some late night pinning!

The nasty old door!

Directions

  • Make the special sauce by dissolving the sugar in water in a small bowl.
  • Add soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ketchup, lemon juice and sesame oil.
  • Mix well and refrigerate this sauce until you're ready to serve.
  • Combine the hot water with the hot mustard and set this aside as well.
  • Eventually add your desired measurement of mustard and garlic chili sauce to the special sauce mixture to pour over the wraps.
  • Bring oil to high heat in a wok or large frying pan.
  • Saute chicken breasts for 4 to 5 minutes per side or done.
  • Remove chicken from the pan and cool.

  • Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing the soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar together in a small bowl.
  • When chicken is cool, mince it as the mushrooms and water chestnuts are.
  • With the pan still on high heat, add another Tbsp of vegetable oil.
  • Add chicken, garlic, onions, water chestnuts and mushrooms to the pan.
  • Add the stir fry sauce to the pan and saute the mixture for a couple minutes then serve it in the lettuce"cups".
  • Top with"Special Sauce".

The Lemonade Stand!

So... Before Christmas a local photographer put out a "Call for trade" she requested that someone create a lemonade stand in trade for photos with it! The photo on the left is the lemonade stand "she wanted" and the one on the right is the one I produced for her. If you know me in anyway you know that I am over the top with crafty ideas and so therefore I went crazy. I looked on Etsy for the bunting and it was extremely expensive (Like $75.00). So I decided I could make it... AND I DID! (click bunting for the pattern I used). I seen a cute idea on Pinterest (what isn't cute on that site right?) for cake plates you will notice on the right side of the photo there is a cake in the air. This cake is being held up by a glass plate I found at the swapmeet for 50cents and a martini glass (Cake plate tutorial). This project took me just over 3 months to build, paint, and create the decor but it has to be one of the funnest projects I have done! Now I will share so more of her amazing work... AND MY CHILDREN!

Guess who was mistaken for an egg?

This morning after we dyed the easter eggs my husband (a kid at heart) decided that we shouldn't waste the dye!

Meet "Britches" (please do not forget to pronounce the "R") she was a very beautiful white poodle... this morning that is! She is now a wonderful shade of EASTER EGG BLUE!

Happy Easter!

I had such a fun time making the little coin bags that I decided that I would make one for each of the girls I work with!

Another super quick, cute, and chic little key money holder! I found this at Pink she is the same lady that I got the lunch bag from... She is so good at photo by photo instructions! Love her stuff! Enjoy!

So my husband and I have been trying several different wines trying to find a good one to have with dinner. I have now "Kissed a zillion frogs" but I finally found my "GINA" she is wonderful. When I drink this it is smooth, light, and refreshing. It doesn't burn my throat on its way down like I just stuck a straw in a bottle of rubbing alcohol. It is a rose "Mochetto" and can be found at the following 2 locations: Quintessential Wines and BevMo.
